On Friday, 28th March 2025, the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) wrapped up Ghana Month with a vibrant and culturally rich celebration dubbed “Rep Your Region.” The event was part of broader efforts to foster team spirit, boost staff morale, and celebrate Ghana’s rich heritage in a fun and memorable way.

March is nationally recognized as Ghana Month, a time when citizens and residents alike are encouraged to "Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana, See Ghana, and Feel Ghana" in celebration of the country’s independence, commemorated annually on 6th March. Embracing the essence of this patriotic season, the NRA gave its staff a unique opportunity to honour their roots and cultural pride through fashion, food, and fun.

Staff came dressed in stunning traditional attire and accessories representing their various regions; each look telling a story of culture, history, and identity. From colourful outfits to beaded adornments, the office was awash with a beautiful tapestry of Ghana’s diverse ethnic heritage.

The day also featured engaging traditional games that sparked laughter and friendly competition, helping colleagues bond across departments. But perhaps one of the most anticipated highlights was the sharing of local delicacies, traditional meals, snacks, and drinks; a true taste of home for many, and a culinary adventure for others.

“Rep Your Region” was not just about dressing up or indulging in local cuisine; it was a powerful reminder of the beauty of Ghana’s diversity and the strength in our unity. It created a moment for staff to relax, connect, and appreciate the unique cultures that come together to form the vibrant workforce of the NRA.

As we continue our important work in regulating Ghana’s peaceful use of nuclear technology, this celebration was a timely reminder of the culture and values that ground us; pride, unity, and a deep appreciation for who we are as Ghanaians.

Here’s to more moments of celebration, connection, and national pride at the NRA!
